24.02.2012- John Frieda Full Repair

Friday, 24 February 2012

Last week, I was lucky enough to be invited along to Claridge's (as I briefly mentioned in this post) by John Frieda to hear all about their new range of Full Repair products. Designed as a rescue package for overworked, unloved hair, each product contains a magic ingredient- Inca Inchi oil, which originates from the Amazon, and repairs rather than coats the hair. After hearing all about the range from celebrity hair dresser and John Frieda creative consultant Harry Josh (he is honestly the most adorable man on the planet!), I was handed a goodie bag full to the brim with Full Repair goodies:

(From left to right:)
Heat Activating Styling Spray, Perfect Ends Deep Infusion, Full Body Conditioner, Deep Conditioner, Full Body Shampoo, Perfect Ends Sheer Mist, Root Lift Foam.

Whether you're a slave to your straighteners, torture your hair with tongs or are guilty of over-excessive blasting with the blow-dryer, this range is perfect for you. Even if you think your hair is damage free, the chances are it isn't; even simple things like not visiting the hairdresser regularly enough can take their toll on your tresses (see this amazing diagram for more detail). Whilst we all know that using heated products on a daily basis is a recipe for unhappy locks, we'd rather that than leave the house with an uncontrollable bouffant, and so get stuck in a cycle of ongoing damage. The beauty of these products is that they are designed to complement your existing routine, not change it, so the styling aids are heat activated with this in mind. Dry, split ends are also targeted across the range, but most notably in the Perfect Ends Sheer Mist Spray and the Deep Infusion treatment, which my hair is really benefiting from. Another star product is the Deep Conditioner, which gets rids of knots and tangles better than anything I've used to date, as well as being really nourishing (and smelling good enough to eat!) Another fantastic thing about this range is that each product is designed to be used in conjunction with each other- using seven things at once might seem like overkill, but each is so light that it leaves hair feeling weightless and really natural. And, unlike so many other products which I've used in the past, it doesn't leave a horrible residue behind after rinsing, so it's perfect for me as I wash my hair daily. I'll definitely be re-purchasing once I've used up all of my goodies!

A massive thank you to the lovely Jilly for the invite, and to the whole John Frieda team for hosting such a great event!

The full range is available in stores now. To find out more about Full Repair, visit johnfrieda.co.uk.

What do you think of Full Repair? Would you be tempted to try it?

  1. How lovely! you will have super healthy hair with this lot. Would be tempted to try the deep conditioner, I use GHD's everyday and my split ends are awful. Need a good trim and treatment x
