13.03.2013- What I Wore Today #106

Wednesday, 13 March 2013

I'm sure it hasn't escaped anyone's attention that this Friday is Red Nose Day! I for one love the excuse of having a day to be silly all in the name of the good cause, and whether you're baking up a storm for a cake sale, getting sponsored to do something outrageous or are going to work in your pyjamas, I hope you have a fabulous day of fundraising for Comic Relief. One super easy way to get into the spirit of things is to pick up an official Comic Relief t-shirt, available online or from your local TK Maxx. Designed by Stella McCartney, this year's crop of tops showcase an array of British icons- including Kate Moss, The Beatles and a certain Mr. Tommy Cooper:
T-Shirt- Stella McCartney for Comic Relief
Jeans- American Apparel
Shoes- Topshop

When I saw the designs which were going to be on sale for Red Nose Day at the start of last month, I knew that Tommy was the man for me. There's something so infectious about his cheeky grin, and when I was growing up I (apparently!) spent many a happy hour sat in front of the telly watching his programmes- so this t-shirt seemed like the obvious choice. Not only that but a substantial percentage of the proceeds  from the sale of each t-shirt (Tommy or otherwise) go towards directly changing the lives of people through Comic Relief projects both here in the UK and in Africa- so without a doubt it's money which will be used for an amazing array of good work. So, whether you snap up Kate, The Fab Four or Mr Cooper, you can do so in the knowledge that your purchase really will be changing (and saving) someone's life. I can't think of many other pieces of clothing that come with that promise, can you?

Have you picked up a Comic Relief t-shirt? If so, which design did you opt for?
