03.08.2015- What I Wore Today #226

Monday, 3 August 2015

However you're managing your wardrobe in this topsy turvy weather, I'm sure I'm not alone in embracing some bolder-than-usual prints. Whether you're working with a selection of old faithfuls or have used the arrival of the new season as the perfect opportunity to invest in some new pieces, styling snappy prints is something which is synonymous with summer, don't you think? As well as being great for tapping into laid back, holiday inspired chic, some of my favourite printed pieces are brilliant for packing maximum punch with minimum effort- and are especially welcome on days where any outfit planning goes well and truly out of the window:

Shirt- Beyond Retro
Jeans- Miss Selfridge
Bag- Topshop
Sunglasses- ASOS
Shoes- Adidas via Urban Outfitters

I picked up this shirt from Beyond Retro whilst (once again!) having a browse of their website a few weekends ago- a pastime which is rapidly becoming my new favourite hobby. The print is Club Tropicana-tastic in the way that every summer staple should be- and, most importantly, the loose fit makes it perfect for sticky days in the city. It's definitely become a real boon to my wardrobe, and I'm eagerly keeping my eyes peeled for a few similar pieces as they are so easy to wear, particularly when paired with some of my favourite basics like these much worn Miss Selfridge jeans and my Adidas Gazelles- a combination which I'll be reaching for again soon I'm sure!

Have you picked up any new summer purchases?
