21.09.2015- On the Menu: Nordic Bakery

Monday, 21 September 2015

If you're a regular visitor to these pages, then you'll no doubt be well aware of the fact that I'm a firm devotee of all things concerning cake. Whether it's tuning in to The Great British Bake Off week after week, sharing my own kitchen adventures with you, or seeking out new places to indulge, I'm yet to be convinced that there's a better combination in life than a slice of cake and a piping hot cup of tea. A little while ago, accompanied by Hannah and Sophie, I had another chance to put this theory to the test by exploring a dining destination which has been on my radar for ages- the Nordic Bakery:

Tucked away in Golden Square, the Nordic Bakery is the perfect pitstop between Piccadilly and the hubbub of Oxford Street, as well as a must visit for all sorts of sweet treats. We ventured over on a Saturday afternoon, and although it was busy we didn't have any trouble getting a table- and the service was great too. Sophie and I opted to share a blueberry and lingonberry bake, which was light but still packed in plenty of flavour, accompanied, of course, by a cup of tea or two! I'll definitely be heading back to sample some more Scandi inspired baking soon- especially as the counter was jam packed with a bounty of goodies far too good to resist.

Have you tried any new foodie faves recently?
