Now that the mania of Black Friday has just about dissipated, I'm sure I'm not the only one who is getting excited for the arrival of Christmas! Whilst I have to confess that I've only picked up a few presents so far, I've been having a good old browse to seek out a selection of goodies worthy of any shopping list- and I'm sure I'm not the one to be frantically bookmarking various potential pressies left, right and centre! Over the last few years I've tried to train myself into making fewer impulse buys so that I've got a pretty tidy wishlist up my sleeve for this time of the year, and as I've got that little bit older (26 on Wednesday, aaah!), it's a strategy which definitely seems to have paid off- particularly as it means I can really savour and anticipate the festive season. Needless to say, there are more than a few things which are on my radar at the moment (so apologies in advance to Father Christmas/Rudolph and the reindeer gang...)

I've had my beady eye on this Cath Kidston knit since I spied it at their AW15 Press Day back in the summer, and it's one of those wonderful multi-purpose pieces which lends itself to styling across the seasons (and makes a pretty snazzy alternative to a festive knit, don't you think?!) This Nails Inc polish is a bit of a cheat as I've snapped a bottle up already, but it's definitely one worthy of your festive beauty haul. Boden have really come up trumps this winter, and this bag is full of character, and is a brilliant flash of bold colour to brighten up any winter wardrobe. And, with brightening on the brain, I can think of nothing better to stash in your stocking than this gorgeous palette from Bobbi Brown- brilliant for everyday beauty as well as for creating special occasion looks. This Skinnydip Makeup pouch from ASOS is a great option for stashing away any festive beauty buys you've got brewing too.
Something which I've touched on in a few previous posts is just how much the chilly weather seems to make skincare a little bit more of a struggle, but Aesop have come to the rescue with their selection of gifts this festive season- and this Cassiopeia collection is definitely an indulgence worth asking Santa for. For simple, chic seasonal jewellery look no further than this necklace from Zara Simon's Accessorize range- a really understated piece which has been on my wishlist for ages. If you (like me!) have planned to devote your Christmas break to hibernating, then you'd be hard pushed to go wrong with this beautiful mug from Oliver Bonas- ideal for cup of tea after cup of tea. And, if you're already planning an exciting 2016, then this Rifle Paper Co. calendar designed by Garance Dore is just the ticket.
With the personal (and practical!) touch in mind, this iPad case from Alphabet Bags is something which I've been meaning to pick up for ages- so fingers crossed Father Christmas will oblige! On another practical note, this gorgeous Cloud Bag from The Cambridge Satchel Company is just the incentive I think I need to start leaving the house with fewer possessions- and it's a great occasionwear offering too. Anything from Kate Spade will always get a huge thumbs up from me too, and this business card holder again offers a lovely personal touch. Lisa Eldridge's Facepaint is a brilliant option for beauty fans and history buffs alike, and I can't think of a better tome to get lost in over the Christmas break. Speaking of beauty, this cheek duo from NARS is sitting firmly at the top of my wishlist- particularly as it fills a gap recently left by my hitting pan on the Guy Bourdin blusher palette! I've also posted about my love for This Works before, so it will probably come as no surprise that I'm well and truly wishing for their Sleep Plus Spray once again!
This mint coat from Oliver Bonas is a really refreshing winter wardrobe alternative, and a great investment to see you through into spring as well. Speaking of investments, I've been on the hunt for some study new earrings for what feels like forever, and this pair from Whistles are great for everyday. With a distinct chill in the air too, this pom pom hat from Zara is brilliant option- particularly if you're shopping for Secret Santa, don't you think? At the slightly more luxurious end of the spectrum, this stunning dress from Reiss is a real festive favourite. And, if frocks aren't your thing then you can still embrace some seasonal sparkle with this ultra cool embellished blouse from & Other Stories- I know I'm already planning on snapping one up for Christmas Day!
Olivia Burton's lovely gift set is a perfect present- particularly if you're shopping for someone who is a bit of a chameleon- and I love the way it's presented too. Another slice of Kate Spade- this time in the shape of their latest book- the ultimate gift for someone who loves the art of entertaining. This Oliver Bonas knit is another transitional treasure, and something which I've had on my shopping list for ages- so definitely something which I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for. Another practical pressie in the shape of these Sharp Grey Adidas Gazelles- especially as Ive more or less been living in my black pair since I picked them up last summer, and for a final splash of festive fun, what better than this iconic lip collection from the Steven Klein for NARS collection?
Have you picked up any Christmas presents yet?
