A brunch date is always an occasion well worth looking forward to, even more so when it involves a trip to a previously unexplored destination. Last Saturday, buoyed by the prospect of a three day weekend (thank you May Day Bank Holiday!), Hannah, Michelle and I payed a long overdue visit to Granger & Co. King's Cross, intent on sampling their staple menu of healthy options and light bites- perfect for setting us up for the extended weekend in style:
How do you like your eggs in the morning?! I'm partial to a scrambled option for brunch, so ordered a portion accompanied by sourdough toast- perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious without feeling too indulgent. Hannah and Michelle opted for the courgette and sweetcorn fritters respectively (definitely options which I'll be exploring on my next visit!), and as an additional treat (or two!), we ordered a freshly baked scone and cookie to share- options which I'd really recommend. To drink, I skipped my usual staple of Earl Grey tea in favour of homemade lemonade- well, if you can't live a little when you've got a three day weekend in prospect then when can you?!
Have you explored any new brunch options recently?
