What else to do with a leisurely Bank Holiday Saturday than indulge in a spot of brunch with some of the loveliest ladies- pretty perfect planning if you ask me! On this occasion, we ventured east to explore Hackney, making our first port of call the much hyped, much recommended (and much Instagrammed!) Palm Vaults on Mare Street- a destination where the food is just as pretty as the decor:
A little bit like stepping into a wonderful Wes Anderson-inspired world, Palm Vaults is worth a visit for a cheeky peek a the the interior design alone- with pastel pinks, vintage furniture and plants a plenty- as you can imagine, I was in my element. After downing a cheeky croissant on the way into town (sorry not sorry), I opted for a light bite in the shape of sourdough toast served with butter and jam- flavoursome and a good option if you're not in an avocado frame of mind. Never one to pass up the opportunity to sample a slice of cake, I also ordered the glorious salted caramel brownie (all in the name of research, of course!), all accompanied by a glorious Palm Passion smoothie- something which I'm determined to master the art of at home!
Have you discovered any new brunch spots of late?
