14.10.2016- Most Wanted: New Season Knits

Friday, 14 October 2016

With winter just peeking over the horizon, I'm finding myself (however reluctantly!) reaching for my staple supply of cold weather clothing. Whilst I'm yet to go into full blown winter coat mode, as I type this I am kitted out in a whole host of layers (as well as a hat!), and am looking high and low for some new season knitwear. Fortunately for me, there are plenty of perfect potential purchases to ponder over as the temperatures continue to tumble:

Lovely Jumper, £69.50, Boden/Jacquard Floral Jumper, £65, Marks and Spencer/Nina Ottman Stitch Jumper, £45, Oliver Bonas/Floral Embroidered Sweater, £69.99, Zara/Weekend Flossie Funnel Neck Jumper, £69, French Connection/Travelling Rib Jumper, £34, Topshop/Split Back Hybrid Jumper, £45, Warehouse

I snapped up my first Boden knit a few years ago, and it's a piece which has equipped me excellently every winter since. With that in mind, I'm steadily saving my pennies for this slogan knit, which makes a statement whilst still being understatedly stylish. Florals for spring might not be the most groundbreaking of fashion statements, but florals for winter are a great way of jazzing up darker days. This gorgeous jacquard detail jumper from M&S has been on my radar for a good few weeks now, and I'm sure I'll be snapping it up soon- especially as it's such a great alternative to lots of the pared down pieces which I tend to live in at this time of the year. With brightness well and truly on the brain, this block colour knit from Oliver Bonas has also rocketed to the top of my wishlist- a great winter warmer to invest in as the temperatures take a tumble.

Another statement staple comes in the shape of this Zara design- a wonderfully vivid option for pepping up any winter wardrobe, don't you think? If you're looking for a more traditionally autumnal hue, then this knit from French Connection is a must have- especially as the roll neck detail adds the perfect trendy touch. For a basic buy which will see you through winter after winter, this pale pink number from Topshop is an excellent option- and one which offers unlimited styling opportunities. Finally, for a more casual feel, this layered design from Warehouse ticks all of the right boxes!

Have you snapped up any new season knits?
