Whilst I'm a firm believer in the 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' philosophy, sometimes there is nothing better than a bit of a change- especially if, like me, you're embracing a 'treat yoself' approach to see you through January. I've never been one for investing overmuch in anything techy- in fact I only replaced my last phone because it got to the stage where I couldn't turn it on anymore- but one of my resolutions for this year was to get a little bit more savvy with my photography. I'd been looking at getting a new camera for a fair few months or so, and having saved up over £200 in the first few weeks of the year (thank you very much Southern Rail delay repay..!), last week I took the plunge and ordered the much coveted Olympus Pen E-PL7:
Whilst I'm still keeping hold of my DSLR, this new addition to my camera collection is a wonderful option for shooting on the go- lightweight and compact as well as being really easy to use. It look me less than ten minutes to get it set up, and so far I'm really impressed with the range of shooting options which it affords, as well as the picture quality. Practically speaking, I know it'll be a great asset to stash in my bag for travelling, and the autofocus is a serious game changer too. As well as that, the built in Wi-Fi is something I'm really keen to get to grips with too, especially as I'm constantly battling with my phone for storage space! In short, so far so good, and watch this space for some photo heavy posts coming soon!
Have you invested in any new tech recently?
